Car fans are for a treatment to Super Bowl XLV Sunday. Car Commercials dominate Super Bowl 2011th We have listed the 8 car brands as Super Bowl 2011 advertisers. Moreover, after several AdAge the carmaker bought more than a 30 second spot. A full 50% of Super Bowl advertisers car, German car manufacturers.
German car brands are on a roll in the United States this year. They break their sales records. Audi, for example, sold on the way to exceed 100,000 cars for the first time. Obviously with a Super Bowl commercial German automakers want to drive that sales momentum. The difficulty for the car manufacturers at the upcoming Super Bowl will stand out.
Audi and Volkswagen had joined memorable Super Bowl ads last year with an elaborate social media campaign. It is a difficult task for BMW and Mercedes, and with them the experience they gainedto compete. Mercedes has already initiated a social campaign for the Super Bowl XLV on Twitter, that is to a large follow generierenng tweets stoked to win a car. The promotion is called Mercedes Benz Tweet Race.
Audi and Volkswagen, used humor in their Super Bowl ads last year. Humor is a great tool to stand out, if the result is really funny. Audi's Green police anteater was strange indeed. I'm really curious what makes BMW and Mercedes Benz of it. I do not remember a single funny BMW display. BMW is innovative in their ads, as you can in the flash projection BMW Cinema Advert, but funny? Mercedes can be funny. They ran some very humorous Bluetec ads in Germany.
The Kia Super Bowl ad was quite cool last year and the Hyundai Super Bowl Ad raised attention with Brett Favre. I expect big ads again from these two car brands. The Chrysler ad at the Super Bowl 2010 was not so great. Let's see if U.S. automakers have something up his sleeve against the foreign brands at the upcoming Super Bowl XLV in February 2011.
List of Super Bowl 2011 Car Advertisers:
* Audi
* BMW
* Chrysler
* GM
